Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Victor Eeckhout could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 auction, the work Studies Of Moroccan Children; And Arab Water-Carriers In Tangiers changed hands for EUR 125.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Eeckhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Fumeur De Narghilévictor Eeckhout ; A Man Smoking A Narghilé ; Signed Lower Right ; Oil On Panel in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 4,000.00.
In der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II.
