Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work A cloudy summer's day by the lake by Victor Binet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,264.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Binet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An expansive meadow, which sold at auction in March 2000 for USD 8,050.00 (€ 8,408.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cloudy summer's day by the lake von Victor Binet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.264,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Binet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An expansive meadow beobachtet, die im März 2000 für USD 8.050,00 (€ 8.408,19) versteigert wurde.
