Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
When the work Male Portrait by Vera Mikhailovna Ermolaeva was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 6,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,299.75). Admittedly, works by Vera Mikhailovna Ermolaeva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suprematist Design For A Façade in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 262,000.00 (€ 296,104.65).
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Male Portrait von Vera Mikhailovna Ermolaeva im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 6.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 37.500,00 (€ 41.299,75) mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vera Mikhailovna Ermolaeva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suprematist Design For A Façade im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 262.000,00 (€ 296.104,65).
