Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Coarse Landscape by Vera Cunningham for GBP 84.00 (€ 122.71). This price was achieved in the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 150.00 – 250.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vera Cunningham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Flowers; And Fifteen Other Similar Works. in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,164.96).
