In November 2017 Christies in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Study for 'Mother Rus'' by Vasily Sitnikov. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,378.72), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vasily Sitnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self-Portrait With Crows By The Kremlin in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 157,390.84).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for 'Mother Rus'' von Vasily Sitnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.378,72) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasily Sitnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self-Portrait With Crows By The Kremlin im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 157.390,84).
