In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Self-Portrait With Crows By The Kremlin by Vasily Sitnikov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 110,500.00 (€ 157,390.84), 23% above the upper estimate. With this result, Self-Portrait With Crows By The Kremlin is even the most expensive work of art by Vasily Sitnikov that we have observed at auctions so far.
