Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Vanessa Bell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Angelica sold for GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,285.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vanessa Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Bouquet in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 256,250.00 (€ 301,027.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vanessa Bell erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Angelica für GBP 2.816,00 (€ 3.285,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vanessa Bell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Bouquet im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 256.250,00 (€ 301.027,74).
