Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Scène antique avec Minerve by Valentin Lefebvre. The price achieved of EUR 1,312.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valentin Lefebvre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Doge Girolamo Priuli with Saint Jerome, after Tintoretto; Catarina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, welcomed by Doge Agostino Barbarigo, after Veronese; The Annunciation, after Titian; The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine, after Tintoretto; The School of, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,729.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène antique avec Minerve von Valentin Lefebvre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.312,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Valentin Lefebvre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Doge Girolamo Priuli with Saint Jerome, after Tintoretto; Catarina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, welcomed by Doge Agostino Barbarigo, after Veronese; The Annunciation, after Titian; The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine, after Tintoretto; The School of beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.729,93) versteigert wurde.
