In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV, which included the work View of Geertruijdenberg with the Brandpoort at the left and the Groote Kerk beyond by Valentijn Klotz. Other works by Valentijn Klotz have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,775.37) in July 2010 for the work View Of A Watermill Near Maastricht.
