Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Asakusa Kinryuzan (Kinryuzan Temple, Asakusa) by Utagawa Hiroshige was auctioned at Bonhams in London in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,723.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Hiroshige achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tokaido gojusan tsugi no uchi (The fifty-three stations of the Tokaido) in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 207,500.00 (€ 210,041.50).
