Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Utagawa Hirosada could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online auction, the work A Group of Actor Prints changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 711.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Utagawa Hirosada have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2016 by the work Set of three chûban, numbered 1, 2 and 3 at EUR 806.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Utagawa Hirosada konnte im Juni 2017 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online wechselte die Arbeit A Group of Actor Prints für GBP 625,00 (€ 711,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Hirosada wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2016 die Arbeit Set of three chûban, numbered 1, 2 and 3 mit EUR 806,00.
