This artwork by Ulisse Caputo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October 2012. In the Rendez-Vous - Intérieurs Classiques auction, the work Le Jardin Du Luxembourg sold for EUR 17,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ulisse Caputo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot At the dressing table sold at auction in April 2000 with the realized price of GBP 17,625.00 (€ 30,173.29).
