Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Giardini Sul Mare by Ulisse Caputo was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in June 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,840.00. Admittedly, works by Ulisse Caputo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At the dressing table in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 17,625.00 (€ 30,173.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Giardini Sul Mare von Ulisse Caputo im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.840,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ulisse Caputo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At the dressing table im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.625,00 (€ 30.173,29).
