Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Curiosity by Ülo Sooster. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,219.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ülo Sooster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man with Pipe in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 37,572.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Curiosity von Ülo Sooster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.219,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ülo Sooster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man with Pipe im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 37.572,89).
