Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Sunset At The River by U Ba Thet. The price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,248.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Other works by U Ba Thet have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2017 the work The Pagoda was auctioned for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,630.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset At The River von U Ba Thet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.248,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von U Ba Thet konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2017 die Arbeit The Pagoda für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.630,41) versteigert.
