Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tunga was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,642.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tunga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Palíndromo incesto in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 109,237.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tunga kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.642,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tunga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Palíndromo incesto im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 109.237,54).
