Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fickle God by Waichi Tsutaka was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,705.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Waichi Tsutaka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 41,273.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fickle God von Waichi Tsutaka kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.705,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Waichi Tsutaka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 41.273,18) versteigert wurde.
