In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work The Mocking of Christ by Trophime Bigot. The »bidding war« ended at USD 156,250.00 (€ 140,071.72), 30% above the upper estimate. Other works by Trophime Bigot have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 200,000.00 (€ 165,645.19) in April 2018 for the work An Angel Watching Over The Dead Christ.
