The work Festival Day by Trần Văn Thọ was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,942.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Trần Văn Thọ - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Couturière (Lady In Couture), which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,303.01).

Die Arbeit Festival Day von Trần Văn Thọ kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.942,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Trần Văn Thọ mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Couturière (Lady In Couture) beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.303,01) versteigert wurde.
