In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work La Couturière (Lady In Couture) by Trần Văn Thọ. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,303.01). With this result, La Couturière (Lady In Couture) is even the most expensive work of art by Trần Văn Thọ that we have observed at auctions so far.
