Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Femme Nue Allongee (Reclining Nude Woman) by Trần Văn Thọ for HKD 31,250.00 (€ 2,906.45). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Trần Văn Thọ achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Couturière (Lady In Couture) in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,303.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Femme Nue Allongee (Reclining Nude Woman) von Trần Văn Thọ für HKD 31.250,00 (€ 2.906,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Trần Văn Thọ erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Couturière (Lady In Couture) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.303,01).
