The work Trung Sisters by Tran Van Ha was worth HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 123,258.88) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Trung Sisters the most expensive artwork by Tran Van Ha that we have observed at auctions so far.
