Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tran Van Giau could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Country Scene With A Village Bridge changed hands for HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,422.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tran Van Giau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Market Scene In Saigon in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,752.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tran Van Giau konnte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Country Scene With A Village Bridge für HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.422,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tran Van Giau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Market Scene In Saigon im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.752,08).
