The work Flowers by Tran Luu Hau was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 38,400.00 (€ 4,602.67), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tran Luu Hau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hanoi Trees in October this year with an auction result of HKD 702,500.00 (€ 84,954.11).

Die Arbeit Flowers von Tran Luu Hau wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 38.400,00 (€ 4.602,67) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tran Luu Hau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hanoi Trees im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 702.500,00 (€ 84.954,11).
