Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tracey Emin could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 auction, the work Self Portrait changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,493.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Emin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Bed in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,546,500.00 (€ 3,211,937.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tracey Emin konnte im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 wechselte die Arbeit Self Portrait für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.493,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Emin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Bed im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.546.500,00 (€ 3.211.937,15).
