The work Torii Kiyonobu II (1706-1763) by Torii Kiyonobu II was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2005. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,280.00 (€ 1,758.04), 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Torii Kiyonobu II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Perspective View of Amusements In An Interior in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 10,755.00 (€ 8,661.51).

Die Arbeit Torii Kiyonobu II (1706-1763) von Torii Kiyonobu II wurde im März 2005 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.280,00 (€ 1.758,04) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Torii Kiyonobu II auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Perspective View of Amusements In An Interior im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.755,00 (€ 8.661,51).
