Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Vue De Karnaktony Binder ; View Of Karnak ; Signed, Dated And Located Lower Left Karnak 1924 ; Watercolour by Tony Binder was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,625.00. Admittedly, works by Tony Binder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The caravan in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 12,069.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Vue De Karnaktony Binder ; View Of Karnak ; Signed, Dated And Located Lower Left Karnak 1924 ; Watercolour von Tony Binder im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.625,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tony Binder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The caravan im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 12.069,31).
