A top price for Tommaso Manzuoli - as previously expected
The work Portrait of a man, half-length, in a grey coat and mantle, holding a handkerchief by Tommaso Manzuoli was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction at Christies in Paris in December 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 90,337.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of a man, half-length, in a grey coat and mantle, holding a handkerchief is the most expensive artwork by Tommaso Manzuoli that we have observed at auctions so far.
