Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cunard White Star. America By Rms Queen Mary by Tom Curr was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 1,275.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom Curr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sowing turnips, Lochside, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,414.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cunard White Star. America By Rms Queen Mary von Tom Curr kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.275,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tom Curr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sowing turnips, Lochside beobachtet, die im September 2001 für GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.414,82) versteigert wurde.
