Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Scampe beats the light by Tom Christopher for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,752.69). This price was achieved in the auction Living with Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tom Christopher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Time To Go, 2001-2003 in March 2010 with an auction result of EUR 10,456.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Scampe beats the light von Tom Christopher für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.752,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Living with Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Christopher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Time To Go, 2001-2003 im März 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.456,00.
