The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,128.64), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom Carr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Market Scene, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,777.36).
