Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures By An Old Farmhouse At The Edge of A Track by Tobias Young was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,246.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tobias Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Landscape With Cattle And Sheep; And A Landscape With A Drover And His Herd Under A Bridge in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,190.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures By An Old Farmhouse At The Edge of A Track von Tobias Young wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion British Art on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.246,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tobias Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Landscape With Cattle And Sheep; And A Landscape With A Drover And His Herd Under A Bridge im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.190,42).
