Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Interno Con Contadini by Tito Pellicciotti was auctioned at Christies in Rome in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,225.00. Admittedly, works by Tito Pellicciotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paesaggio Con Cane E Lepre in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 5,512.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Interno Con Contadini von Tito Pellicciotti im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Rom versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.225,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tito Pellicciotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paesaggio Con Cane E Lepre im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.512,50.
