Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A fishing village on the Amalfi coast by Tito Pellicciotti was sold in the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,557.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tito Pellicciotti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paesaggio Con Cane E Lepre, which sold at auction in June 2001 for EUR 5,512.50.
