Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flag by Timothy Johnson was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in May 2005. It changed hands for a price of AUD 1,434.00 (€ 881.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Timothy Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nosepeg in Sydney, 1987 in November 2021 with an auction result of AUD 11,070.00 (€ 9,807.74).

Die Arbeit Flag von Timothy Johnson kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 1.434,00 (€ 881,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Timothy Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nosepeg in Sydney, 1987 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 11.070,00 (€ 9.807,74).
