In July 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included this untitled work by Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 32,400.00 (€ 18,343.65), 62% above the upper estimate. This high result makes the work without title the most expensive artwork by Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri that we have observed at auctions so far.
