A top price for Tim Balboni - as previously expected
In August 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Inside Job: Christie's Staff Art Show, which included the work Nicholson by Tim Balboni. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,137.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Nicholson is the most expensive artwork by Tim Balboni that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im August 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Inside Job: Christie's Staff Art Show durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nicholson von Tim Balboni zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.137,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Nicholson das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tim Balboni, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
