This artwork by Tie Bao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection auction, the work Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,736.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tie Bao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 58,975.10).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tie Bao erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection wurde die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.736,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tie Bao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 58.975,10) versteigert wurde.
