This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tie Bao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Regular Script, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 58,975.10).
