Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Korfu. by Thorald Læssøe was auctioned at Grisebach in November 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thorald Læssøe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danish Udsigt Fra En Balkon I Rom (View From A Balcony In Rome), which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,925.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Korfu. von Thorald Læssøe im November 2013 bei Grisebach versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.750,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thorald Læssøe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Danish Udsigt Fra En Balkon I Rom (View From A Balcony In Rome) beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.925,41) versteigert wurde.
