Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Struth could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art and Photoworks auction, the work Zhe Jiang Zhong Lu, Shanghai changed hands for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,038.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Struth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pantheon, Rome in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,810,000.00 (€ 1,646,352.56).
