This artwork by Thomas Sidney Cooper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work In Canterbury Meadows sold for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,728.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Sidney Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reposing on God's Acre in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 171,650.00 (€ 250,603.59).

In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit In Canterbury Meadows für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.728,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Sidney Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reposing on God's Acre im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 171.650,00 (€ 250.603,59).
