Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green River, Utah sight 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 in. framed 14 x 17 in. by Thomas Moran was sold in the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The price achieved of USD 94,875.00 (€ 91,906.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Moran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Green River of Wyoming in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 17,737,000.00 (€ 11,399,100.26).
