Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Sunset off the coast by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr.. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,020.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Foot of Loch Katrine, Perthshire, which sold at auction in October 2002 for GBP 8,962.50 (€ 14,177.09).

Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset off the coast von Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.020,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Foot of Loch Katrine, Perthshire beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für GBP 8.962,50 (€ 14.177,09) versteigert wurde.
