Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures on the shore of a loch by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in December 2008. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,251.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Foot of Loch Katrine, Perthshire, which sold at auction in October 2002 for GBP 8,962.50 (€ 14,177.09).
