Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,937.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Miles Richardson Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Foot of Loch Katrine, Perthshire, which sold at auction in October 2002 for GBP 8,962.50 (€ 14,177.09).
