Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A watermeadow with cattle and a windmill, a passing shower (recto); sketch of a church and a tower among trees (verso) by Thomas Lound was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,987.74). Admittedly, works by Thomas Lound have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening On The River Yare At Whitlingham, With Figures In A Boat In The Foreground, Norwich Castle And Cathedral Beyond in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 13,891.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.987,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Lound auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening On The River Yare At Whitlingham, With Figures In A Boat In The Foreground, Norwich Castle And Cathedral Beyond im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 13.891,04).
