The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,796.46), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Leeson Rowbotham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Near Taormina, Sicily, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,782.64).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.796,46) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Leeson Rowbotham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Near Taormina, Sicily beobachtet, die im März 2006 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.782,64) versteigert wurde.
