Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Ritual by Thomas Kinkade was sold in the California and Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,075.00 (€ 3,414.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Kinkade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Autumn Forest, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 11,325.00 (€ 9,488.10).

Die Arbeit The Ritual von Thomas Kinkade wurde im August 2020 in der Auktion California and Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.075,00 (€ 3.414,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Kinkade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In the Autumn Forest beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 11.325,00 (€ 9.488,10) versteigert wurde.
