Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A minstrel of a southern clime by Thomas Kent Pelham for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,520.20). This price was achieved in the auction British and Victorian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Kent Pelham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Flower Girl, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,340.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A minstrel of a southern clime von Thomas Kent Pelham für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.520,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Kent Pelham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Flower Girl beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.340,66) versteigert wurde.
